TASKS: Architectural design, interior design, and landscape planning
for family enjoyment (they have three children), while also converting it into a property with potential for short-term rental.
Initially, the plan was to demolish and start from scratch. However, upon discovering that the original building was a typical Argentine countryside ranch, we proposed a different approach: preserving its essence and enhancing its value through design.
The project retained the original structure as the social heart of the house, and we added a new L-shaped wing to host the bedrooms. This created an intimate refuge within the vast open landscape. The park’s design followed the same logic: we defined a domestic area and incorporated a pool inspired by Australian water tanks—an icon of the Argentine rural landscape.
The interiors combine noble materials, rustic textures, and a warm, neutral palette. We preserved original elements such as clay roof tiles and wooden trusses to maintain the soul of the house. The result is a timeless rural retreat that blends history, beauty, and functionality.
